Spring sports are right around the corner! Please make note of the following start dates:

USC's spring activity bus will begin on Monday, March 18th when all spring sports practices are in session. The activities bus will depart from the front of the school at 5:45 PM, arrive in Walters at 6:05 PM, Kiester at 6:20 PM, Bricelyn at 6:35 PM, and Easton at 7:00 PM. Please note that these times are approximate. The drop-off location in Walters will be Main Street (by the Krohnberg Shop), in front of the old school in Kiester, in front of the old gas station in Bricelyn, and by the Catholic Church in Easton. This bus route will continue as long as we have enough riders to sustain this throughout the spring.

Rebel Basketball Fans: There have been many questions about the start time for tomorrow's Section 2A South Sub-Section Quarterfinal Boys Basketball game vs. Alden-Conger. Runnin' with the Rebs! Hours after getting the #3 seed in the upcoming Section 2A South Sub-Section Boys Basketball Tournament, the USC Rebels hosted a youth practice for boys in grades 1-6. Fundamentals, drills, and games made for a fun afternoon! #prideUSC

Seniors! Scholarship deadlines are starting to creep up on us. The local Common Scholarship Application (including the application for the Lions Athletic Scholarship) is due this Friday, March 1! This information has been emailed to you, is available on Ms. Klemek's website and on the bulletin board outside of her office. All materials, including your two recommendations, are due by Friday! Keep an eye out for more approaching deadlines throughout March and April.

USC's 8th Grade class and director Josh Edwards have been working hard on final preparations for Prairie Fire Theater's 'Peter Pan'. Show time for the public is Tuesday, Feb. 27th @ 5:00pm in the USC Auditorium. No cost. Come out and enjoy the show! #prideUSC

USC hosted a pilot day for the SCSC Health Mobile Lab. Our 8th grade health students rotated from station to station to learn more about possible health care careers! We are thankful for our local volunteers who helped staff the stations and explain more about health care career options to our students.

United South Central Schools are looking for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals. If you are interested in helping students while keeping a flexible schedule, please contact our district office.

The Activities Department's service initiative is back in action, and it was Boys Basketball's chance to visit the Shepherd's Inn and take on the residents in 'Noodle Hockey.' These ladies taught the boys a thing or two about competing, and no blood was shed. Fun time! #prideUSC

United South Central 7th Graders participated in the Courage Retreat yesterday courtesy of Youth Frontiers. The day was filled with team building activities and conversation that help foster stronger relationships and decision making among students.
